Over the summer trips were taken, teeth extracted, jobs in remote locations worked, surgeries underwent, and anniversaries celebrated. And now we’re BACK.

Dang. The event that will happen at Metro tomorrow night is turning out to be not just a rock show, but a Most Spectacular Extravaganza. We’ll be giving out FREE CDS of one of the tracks we just recorded with Sean O’Keefe, our NEW TSHIRTS are scheduled to be there, and we have a few more fun surprises lined up.
Also, our Tenor Sax player’s band, Kemman, has been added to the bill. It’s their triumphant return to the stage after a baby-centric hiatus. Make sure to get your tickets in advance so you don’t miss out on all of this! See our Shows section for more info and how to get tickets for only $6.

Cobalt is excited to announce that we’re working with producer/engineer Sean O’Keefe! Yesterday was our first studio session with him and we’ll be recording three new songs all this week and next week. Keep checking our WebLog and Video sections for updates.

The video we shot amidst the results of Blizzard 2011 is done! We overcame cold and wet and hangovers (we headlined Cubby Bear the night before and celebrated appropriately) to make a sweet video for “Of Summer.” Thank you to everyone who braved the weather and our snowy abuse to make this happen – it wouldn’t have turned out nearly so well without all of you.

There’s one word to sum up our headlining Metro show: “SUCCESS!” All the bands brought their A-game, the audience was pumped, the Metro staff were delightful, and it was FUN. Thank you to everyone who came out to the show, performed, or worked at the venue that night. Everything was perfect.
And a special thanks to Chad from Chateau GRRR for taking video of the entire night!
But after all that excitement, Cobalt is going to lay low for a bit and work on the new record (we’re recording trumpet on Saturday!!). So, stay tuned……..
